Since our inception in 1981, Vidya Wires Ltd. has become the 4th largest manufacturer in India’s copper and aluminum wire industry by installed capacity. Vidya Wires Ltd. offers the widest range of copper and aluminum wire products, including enameled copper wires, paper-covered wires and strips, bare annealed wires, copper tapes, and more. With three manufacturing units and a warehousing unit, our production capacity utilization has improved from 65.80% in Fiscal 2022 to 89.98% by September 2024, and production volumes have grown by 26.99% over the last three fiscals.

As a UL-approved company, we export enameled copper and aluminum wires to the USA. Located in Anand, Gujarat, we benefit from logistical advantages near major sea ports like Hazira and Mundra. Over 26% of our power comes from renewable sources, and our facilities are accredited with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 14001:2015 certifications, ensuring compliance with quality standards including BIS. We are a pre-approved supplier for the Research Design and Standards Organisation, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, BHEL, and NTPC Limited. Our expansion plans aim to increase installed capacity from 19,680 MT to 37,380 MT per annum through a new project by our subsidiary, ALCU Industries Private Limited.
Our product range includes over 6,400 SKUs of copper and aluminum winding wires, with plans to expand into Copper Foils, Copper Components, Continuously Transposed Copper Conductors, and more.

We have integrated and continue to further integrate environmental, social and governance practices into our business with sustainable and responsible approach to our operations. Under our focus on environment and sustainability initiatives, we have sourced over 26% of our total power requirements in the six months period ended September 30, 2024, and last 3 fiscals from renewable sources like solar and windmill. Our manufacturing facilities are accredited with ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 45001: 2018 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environment Management System) certifications. Our products are compliant with various quality standards including Bureau of Indian Standards.
With our customer base of over 370 in last 3 fiscals and none of our customer singly contributing over 9% of our annual revenues, we have effectively de-risked our business model from dependence on limited number of customers and insulated our revenue potential due to our broad-based customer base.
We manufacture over 6,400 SKUs of winding and conductivity products, with sizes ranging from as thin as 0.07 mm to as thick as 25 mm. Through our Proposed Project, we intend to add new products like Copper Foils, Copper Components, Continuously Transposed Copper Conductors, PV Round Ribbon, Solar Cables, Multi Paper Covered Copper Conductors, Enameled Aluminium Winding Wires, Enameled Aluminium Rectangular Strips in our current product portfolio.

Shyamsundar Rathi
Promoter, Chairman & Whole Time Director
Shyamsundar Rathi is the Chairman and Whole Time Director of our Company. He represents that he holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce (honours) from Umeschandra College, Kolkata*. He has over 43 years of experience in the winding and conductivity products industry. He has been associated with the Company since incorporation. He was associated with Federation of Association of Small Industries of India (“FASII”) as the president from 2008 to 2010. He was also elected as the president of Winding Wires Manufacturer’s Association of India in the year 2018-2019. He has been awarded for “Exemplary Leadership in Business and Entrepreneurship” by Vithal Udyognagar Industries Association, “Commendable Service to the Micro & Small Enterprises Sector” by FASII, National Award in 2009 and 2011 for “Outstanding Entrepreneurship in Micro and Small Enterprises (Manufacturing)” from Government of India.
Shailesh Rathi is the Managing Director of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical) from Birla Vishwakarma Mahavidyalaya, Sardar Patel University. He has over 28 years of experience in winding and conductivity products industry. He has been associated with the Company since January 01, 1997, initially he was responsible to look after production, purchase and general management of the Company. Subsequently, he was appointed as a Director on January 18, 2010 and promoted as Managing Director on July 01, 2024. He was the secretary of Vithal Udyognagar Industries Association, Anand and is also appointed as the Divisional Senior Vice President of the Bombay Metal Exchange Limited, Gujarat Chapter.

Shilpa Rathi is a Whole Time Director of our Company. She has passed the examination for the diploma course in fashion technology from Capitanio Vocational Training Institute, Mumbai. She has over 8 years of experience in purchase, HR, administration and CSR activities. She served as a Director from August 14, 2002 to January 18, 2010. On June 19, 2024, she was re-appointed as the Director of the Company.

Vidya Wires’ manufacturing facilities are accredited with ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System), and ISO 14001:2015 (Environment Management System). Our products meet various quality standards, including those set by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The company has a dedicated 20-member quality control team responsible for inspecting raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications. Additionally, we regularly have our product samples tested at NABL-accredited labs to verify and compare results with those obtained from our in-house laboratory.
