Enameled Aluminum Rectangular Strips

Magnet wire or Enameled wire is a copper wire coated with a very thin layer of insulation. We have a different range of Enameled Copper Winding Wires coated with a layer of insulation that comes with good mechanical properties such as tensile strength, elongation etc. The material is electrolytically refined copper and fully annealed to maximise the customisation in hermetic applications in Electrical Motors, Transformers, Switchgear, Consumer & Industrial Electronics, Auto Electrical, Refrigerators, Air Conditioners, Domestic Appliances, Pumps & Fans and more.

Enameled Aluminum Rectangular Strips

Enameled aluminum rectangular strips comprise a flat, rectangular cross-section and an enamel insulator coating. The rectangular shape enables better space use and efficiency in coil winding. Besides, the flat, rectangular strip shape broadens the surface area for winding, improving current distribution and electrical efficiency.

These strips are used in various electrical and industrial applications due to aluminum’s lightweight, cost-effective nature and good conductivity. Aluminum is lighter than copper, thus ideal for applications where reducing weight is critical. Besides, aluminum is more affordable than copper, reducing costs considerably, particularly in transformers, motors, and power generators. Some other applications include power generation, automotive, AI data center transformers, and inverter duty transformers (for renewable energy).
Some commonly used insulation types include the following.

• Polyester (PE)
• Polyetherimide (PEI)
• Polyamide-Imide (PAI)
• Dual-Coated (PEI + PAI)
• Self-Bonding Enamel

The specific insulation choice depends on the thermal class, chemical resistance, mechanical strength, and environmental exposure required.
Some benefits of these wires include reduced weight, lower cost, and appreciable thermal management. Hence, they are ideal for achieving high electrical performance, thermal resistance, and mechanical durability. Also, the rectangular cross-section ensures better-winding density, enhancing device efficiency.

The specific insulation choice will depend on the thermal class, chemical resistance, mechanical strength, and environmental exposure required for the application.
